The fifth edition of Bio Asia-2008, the global business forum for promoting bio technology will be held in Hyderabad from February 7 to 9. Vice President Mr. M. Hamid Ansari will inaugurate the Bio Asia-2008 meet. Major Industries Minister J. Geetha Reddy (Andhra Pradesh) told that the Vice President would lay foundation stones for the National Animal Resource Facility for Biomedical Research and Centre for Stem Cell Sciences on the Occasion. He would also inaugurate the Bio Technology Incubation Centre, which has been jointly set up by the State Government and the Centre.

Over 20 internationally renowned scientists will address key issues and developments in the biotechnology field. The Two Nobel Laureates Martin J. Evan and Berry J Marshal would also take part in the conference and address it. Evan would be conferred with this year's Genome Valley Excellence Award.
